Hailing from Mpumalanga, Nhlanhla spent most of his life studying and working in Gauteng, is a class of 2016 Graduate at the iconic “Funda Community College” and was mentored by veteran artist Charles Nkosi.

Nhlanhla love of art has led him to be involved in various successful art projects and competitions & is a 2014 design competition winner, hosted by the Department of Arts and Culture where his sketch was printed on t-shirts worn at a Cultural festival and was in 2015 chosen to be part of a historic mosaic project about Kliptown in Soweto conducted by “Andrew Lindsay” who is well known amongst art legends.

He has also worked with Sticky-Situations, a company working on improving Rossetenville’s park with the idea of garnishing the area with the usage of his sketches that were chosen to be sculptured.
In 2016, the artistic Mpumalanga born artist worked on a mural project at a Memorial Acre in Soweto and was also chosen alongside many talented artists to have one of his totem poles created in Braamfontein at The Council Chambers that will comprise 135 totem poles which are being installed in 2017.

Nhlanhla keeps sharing his art by teaching kids once a week in downtown Johannesburg at Khanya College. The Soweto Theater hosts his ‘Ukhamba’ sculpture, which is installed in the area implemented by the Soweto Steel Art competition. His developments are tremendously exciting and his love for the arts promise an inspiring future.
